Historic visit to Namugongo Shrine, Uganda

The Lubao FM team and friends of Witaba Foundation visited the Martyrs Shrine,in Mamugongo, Uganda.
We received a warm welcome at the station after a long and tiring Journey from Lubao, Kakamega County that took over 5 hours of traveling. The guest control personnel at the shrine took us around the entire sections and areas where great martyrs of the Lord were killed, some burned to assess bu then the ruling empire of the Baganda Kingdom that was against the spiritual men of men in the region.

Earlier, after a month, Pope Francis visited the area in his three-nation Africa tour that started from Kenya to Uganda to Central African Republic. The Vatican and spiritual Father led the Catholics in a Mass at the shrine before flying to CAR for a peace talk.
