In a move to promote the new school curriculum, 102.2 Lubao FM has schedule a school based program that will enable pupils to express themselves on air. The Programme, dubbed “live school parade programme” enables the normal school parade broadcast live on radio from the school.
During 2021 inaugural event at Hilltop Sherri Academy today morning the pupils were able to present a number of items including poems, memory verses, spoken words and traditional folk songs live from their school.
The programme which runs from 7am-8am so as not to interfere with the normal academic learning process provides a platform for listeners to understand what happens during the 30min/1hr parade period in schools.
Lauding the programme, Hilltop Sherri Academy Head teacher, Madam Millicent Oracha expressed optimism that the exposure the pupils received will serve a great role in boosting their morale in expressing themselves. He further added that the programme will enable the student to make informed choices on who they want to become at a tender age.
The Live school parade program is an ongoing initiative with approval from the ministry of education.
