Eleven Chesamisi Boys High School students were Monday charged with causing a strike and damaging property worth Ksh.7.5 million last Friday.
Appearing before Kimilili Resident Magistrate Gladys Adhiambo, the students pleaded not guilty and were released on a bond of Ksh.1 million with one surety of a similar amount.
Meanwhile, the courts have ordered an assessment report be done to produce birth certificates of the accused to ascertain whether they are minors or not.
The magistrate ordered the counsel for the accused to be supplied with a copy of the charge sheets and witness statements.
The case will be mentioned on December 20, 2021, and later be heard on January 25, 2022.
Meanwhile, the accused will be held at Kimilili Police Station at the juvenile cells until they comply with the bail terms set by the court.
