In a statement to media houses, the Ministry of Health said the new cases were from 3,369 samples. The total number of confirmed Coronavirus cases in the country has hit 98,432 after 98 new infections announced on 12th January 2021. Kenya has so far tested 1,097,647 samples.
From the new cases 87 are Kenyans while 11 are foreigners; 63 are males while 35 are females. The youngest patient is a three-year-old baby while the oldest patient is 85 years old.
The cases are distributed across the country as: Nairobi 49, Mombasa 14, Uasin Gishu 8, Kiambu 4, Kwale 3, Nakuru 3, Bungoma 2, Kisii 2, Kisumu 2, Turkana 2, Machakos 2, Kirinyaga 1, Laikipia 1, Kajiado 1, Kericho 1, Meru 1, Nandi 1 and Siaya 1.
New recoveries are 154 the total number of recoveries now stands at 81,255 while the total death toll has hit 1,716. After 3 new deaths
