Malava MP Moses Malulu Injendi has today continued his initiative of bolstering educational infrastructure by unveiling two new classrooms at Samitsi Girls High School through the NG-CDF infrastructural development program for the financial year 2023/2024. The MP emphasized that enhancing the appearance of schools in the constituency is crucial in accommodating the growing student population and providing them with adequate study spaces. These new facilities are a testament to the commitment of local leadership to improve the learning environment for students in the region.

Congratulating Samitsi Girls for their outstanding performance in the previous year’s Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations, Malulu highlighted the school’s exceptional results, which have positioned it among the top educational institutions in the county.
The school’s Principal, Gladys Kadaki, expressed appreciation for the MP’s supportive initiative, emphasizing that the additional classrooms have alleviated classroom congestion, particularly during this period when the school was finalizing admissions for the last cohort of the 8-4-4 system, leading to an increase in Form One admissions of nearly 500 students.

Kadaki also disclosed that the school is implementing robust strategies geared towards further enhancing the academic performance of the upcoming class, building on the achievements of the 2023 cohort. Notably, Samitsi Girls emerged as the top-performing school in Malava sub-county with an impressive mean grade of 7.4. The new infrastructure and the school’s commitment to academic excellence suggest a promising trajectory for the institution and its students, as they strive to maintain and even surpass their previous achievements.

The MP’s investment in educational infrastructure reflects a broader commitment to fostering holistic development in the community, providing students with the resources they need to excel and contribute meaningfully to society. By addressing the pressing need for adequate learning spaces, the initiative aligns with the goal of ensuring that every student has access to quality education and conducive learning environments. Such efforts are pivotal in nurturing a generation of well-equipped individuals who can actively participate in the socio-economic progress of the constituency and the nation at large.

In a further testament to the positive impact of the NG-CDF program, the addition of the new classrooms serves as an example of how strategic allocation of resources can directly benefit educational institutions, creating an environment that supports students in achieving their full potential. With the continued collaboration between local leadership, educational institutions, and the community, it is evident that meaningful change and progress can be achieved, ultimately enhancing the educational landscape and empowering the next generation of leaders and professionals. As the school year progresses, the impact of these new facilities is expected to be felt not only in the academic performance of the students but also in the overall growth and development of the Samitsi Girls High School community.
