My name is Odhiambo Sylvia Achieng, a third student at Multimedia University of Kenya doing Journalism and Mass communication.
When I wanted to join the University, the first higher learning institution that came to my mind was Multimedia university of Kenya. I had already seen the fruits of the institution. Being taught by those who have made it to the in the Media Industry as my university lecturers is such a blessing. With them, I believe that my dream will surely come to pass. We, the journalism students, have a studio which has helped us a lot in sharpening our skills thus growing my love for journalism.
Multimedia University of Kenya is a public chartered university in Nairobi located along Magadi road. The university offers a wide range of Certificate, Diploma, Degree and Masters courses in Media and communication, Engineering and Technology, Computing Information Technology, Business and Law, Science and Technology, Social Science and Technology and Masters of Science, Degree in Applied Optics.
It also offers TVET courses like artisans. Apart from academics, Multimedia University of Kenya is also know for co-curriculum activities such as Games, Music and Drama.
The institution is well-known for it’s ability to incorporate students who desire to be great journalists. It has produced well- seasoned journalists who have worked in various Radio and TV stations including: NTV and Radio Jambo.
