The Kakamega County Government has launched a water project aimed at providing clean and safe water to over 1,000 homesteads in the Mundoli village. The project, initiated by the County Government, is one of the key priorities outlined by Governor Fernandes Baraza to ensure that all households in the area have access to clean water without any challenges.

According to Sylvia Muteshi, a nominated Member of the Kakamega County Assembly, the project will involve constructing pipes and wells to provide a reliable source of clean water to the residents of Mundoli village. Muteshi commended the County Government for prioritizing the project, which she said will greatly benefit the local community.

Muteshi also called on residents of Mudoli village to refrain from cutting down trees or polluting the river as a way of conserving water sources. She emphasized that this was a critical step in ensuring that the project is successful and benefits all residents.

The project has been welcomed by residents of Mundoli village, who have been struggling with accessing clean water for a long time. The residents have expressed their gratitude to the County Government for taking initiative to address their needs.

In addition, Muteshi called on the national government to provide financial support to the County Government to implement more development projects in Kakamega County. She emphasized that the County Government needs financial support to tackle some of the development challenges facing the county.

The residents of Mundoli village have also asked the national government to allocate funds to the County Government early enough to enable them to implement development projects that benefit their community. They argued that timely financial support will help them address some of the challenges they are facing.
