Ford-Kenya party leader Moses Wetang’ula has urged the National and County governments to release bursary funds on time in readiness for the opening of schools in January.
Speaking in Mikuva village Webuye East, the Bungoma Senator underscored that education is vital to Kenya’s prosperity and that the state should heavily invest in it.
The lawmaker, who was accompanied by former Bungoma governor Ken Lusaka, also implored residents to vote for the senate speaker as their governor during the 2022 general elections.
Wetang’ula similarly assured the Tachoni community that the ongoing eviction cases at Chetembe Hills, which are currently in court, were being addressed at the senate.
While sending his tribute to fallen Nobel peace prize-winning archbishop Desmond Tutu, the Ford Kenya leader also urged the national assembly to set aside enough funds for electoral agency IEBC ahead of the polls next year.
