Matungu Member of Parliament, Peter Oscar Nabulindo, urged security agencies to strengthen cooperation with members of the public in the fight against rising cases of theft across the constituency

Speaking during the official opening of the Eshiakula Area Chief’s Office Constructed under NG-CDF, Hon.Nabulindo expressed concern that some security officers allegedly arrest residents who report theft incidents instead of listening to their complaints and acting on the information provided

He noted that such actions discourage wananchi from reporting crimes, ultimately undermining efforts to improve security and protect communities

The legislator called for a people-centred approach to policing, emphasizing that effective collaboration between security agencies and the public is essential in addressing criminal activities and restoring confidence in law enforcement

During the event,Hon.Nabulindo also declared his support for William Ruto to serve a second term, saying the President’s continued leadership would accelerate development projects and improve the livelihoods of residents in Matungu and the country at large
