Security Guard Found Murdered in Busia County.

Police in Busia are investigating a case where a watchman was found murdered by unknown people this morning. Bunyala Sub County OCPD, Peterson Nyakundi, said that the security personnel of Camilla Lounge in Port Victoria was missing at his work space this morning only to be found locked in a latrine at the premise.

The hotel’s Manager, Allan Omondi, said that three people came to the restaurant yesterday around 5pm and ordered for drinks and later requested for accommodation rooms. On waking up, Mr. Omondi found the rooms they had lodged open and the watchman missing. After doing a thorough search, he found the body of the deceased tied which had multiple injuries placed inside a toilet and four television sets were also missing.

Mr. Nyakundi asked hotel owners to be vigilante as groups have formed to terrorize citizens and urged the locals to provide useful information that will help them stop terrorism in the area. The body of the deceased has been taken to Port Victoria Hospital as funeral arrangements are made.
