Leaders from the Luanda Constituency in Vihiga County have been advised to work closely with teachers and provide incentives to motivate them to ensure the constituency achieves good results in various examinations. This was said by Mike Okoba, a member of the Emabungo Ward, during a meeting in the ward.
Okoba emphasized that leaders need to hold joint meetings with teachers to discuss their demands and provide incentives for them to achieve better results. “It is essential for leaders and teachers to work together to ensure that our constituency excels in examinations,” he said.
Okoba also urged the Member of Parliament for Luanda Constituency, Dick Maungu, to intervene and rectify the underlying issues at Ebusakami Girls’ Secondary School, which is among the schools in the ward that are in poor condition. “Currently, schools in our ward, including Ebusakami Girls’ Secondary School, are not presentable,” he said.
However, Okoba seized the opportunity to urge the youth in the ward to join vocational training institutions to acquire skills and improve their chances of getting good jobs in the future. “By joining vocational training institutions, young people can acquire skills that will enable them to secure good jobs,” he said.
