Its relief for residents of lubao after the national highway authority, KENHA successfully constructed the road bumps along Kakamega-Webuye highway. Speaking to 102. 2 businesswoman,  Monica Rajula applauded the move as it would easen crossing by both traders and school going pupils.

On his part, the chairman of boda boda operators Lubao, Thomas Kenyatta claimed that the ridges will help reduce the speed of road users for the benefit of school children crossing from one side to the other.

However, Robert Webo, Tuktuk driver, differed with the move to erect road bumps on the road stating that the spacing was obstructive especially for heavy passengers as he recommended average bumps

According to the site inspector Richard Shikuku they have sent a squad to matete to inspect the bridge after receiving several cases of accidents asking residents who use that road to take responsibility to protect it.

The move to erect speed bumps along the busy Kakamega-Webuye road market at Lubao market was as a result of an collective call by traders, pupils and residents .
