Lubao FM 102.2Mhz is a commercial radio station certified and licensed by communication Authority of Kenya and regulated by Media Council of Kenya to conduct broadcasting activities in line with regulation provided from Lubao sublocation, Shinyalu subcounty kakamega county. Programmes.

The programming is comprehensive with contents from different sectors included economic development, sports local and international music, politics, farming, family matters, children’s program, youth, livelihood, religious shows, entrepreneurship, health ,talents search and development among other sectors of economy using English, Kiswahili, Luhya and Sheng.70% Local(Kenya), 30%International.

Statement of the problem.

Lubao FM has been outstanding providing good effective broadcasting service and to raise awarenessto its targeted publics. Lubao fm is a major Radio station in this media field sector.Lubao fm, has been been experiencing turbulent times in regard to the proficiency of the journalistics workmany journalist are not in a capacity to carryout outside broadcasting activities due to lacking the accreditation process laid by MCK.This is because medioa council of kenya offers accreditation process and also placement of journalists from the academies and schools effectively. The various objectives for MCK are Academics works, Accreditation ,Adjudication , Advisory ,Advocacy and Analysis.

Objectives of the study

The general objective of the study is to reach out to the population of six million citizens as notified to communication Authority of kenya about the roadmap of the great training for media  interns  at 102.2Mhz Lubao FM.

Specific objectives

The study aimed to: show a guide on how internship  programme is conducted at lubao fm  where by the journalist interns are choosen from their respective schools and placed  to  media houses for practice by media council of kenya with reliance to their ethical code of conduct. Once the journalist reach the station he is given a chec

kin list form from the admin , a case study lubao fm  which also has its own (sops)standard  operating procedures  to guide the interns when carrying out their journalistic works.

In the field media this was a frequent challenge and an issue fully raised over and over, where by accredited journalist were not getting a chance to be involved in media houses activities as we can see. MCK has come up with a cohort programme placing media student for internships and also offering accreditation.
