The County government of Bungoma through the ministry of agriculture has started a process to seek a license that will enable cooperative societies in this county to sell their coffee products directly in the international market.

Stanslus Wambani, Director of cooperatives associations of Bungoma county, said coffee farmers will receive satisfied payment if they get a license to sell their products directly to the international market.

Wambani also holds the position that the ministry will never give permission to any cooperative party to attack coffee outside this county and ask the involvement board to make sure they attack their coffee in Mulatiwa village. The chairman of the Mt Elgon farmers cooperative union, Amos Chemabus Mamboleo, argued that the coffee industry has benefited them.
