As Kenyans all over the country are anxious to witness the performance of the Kenya Kwanza government, some of the politicians are skeptical of the growth of the country’s economy in the forthcoming days. In a one on one interview with Lubao FM on Thursday 29th June 2023 , Deputy Speaker of the Kakamega County Assembly, Bernard Isindu Shitiabayi, expressed his negative opinion concerning the already passed Finance Bill and he supports the Opposition leader, Raila Odinga’s recommendations.
Bernard Shitiabayi also expressed his concerns on the proposed increment of the National Health Insurance Fund. He Urged the Cabinet Secretary for Health, Susan Nakhumicha to stay clear from misappropriation of the Health Sector.
Moreover, through the numerous allegations of misappropriation of funds in the Kenya Kwanza government, he insisted on checking the supervision of finances in the National government and stated on the importance of non involvement in the raising of the cost of living to 2028.
