On Saturday uncertainty engulfed the students of St Paul’s Lugari Boys Secondary after one of the students; Brian Ndeche collapsed in the school compound. The student was later pronounced dead an action that lead to further enquiry on the cause of his death. A postmortem examination that was carried out has proved that among the causes of death for the student include; pneumonia, TB and lung complications.
In a statement from Mr. Kennedy Nyamwolo, the school principal and the Director of Studies, the student had visited a medical facility on August 28, 2021 and stated he had a severe headache. On Saturday, while in class, he collapsed and after administering a first aid he was taken to Koromaiti Dispensary in Chekalini Ward where he was pronounced dead. While the results of the postmortem examination are subjected to further analysis to have a detailed report on the cause of Brian’s death, the burial ceremony is set for this Saturday at their home in Kilifi County.
