Bungoma governor through the ministry of health has yet once more received a docket of 2.8 million donations from the us non-governmental organization USAID.
Speaking while receiving the donation bungoma governor Wycliffe Wangamati has echoed good relationship between the organization and the county government of bungoma stating that the funds is a big relief to the health sector which has been facing hurdles since covid pandemic hit the nation.
The governor has stated that the funds shall be used in a required manner so as to benefit the people within Bungoma County.
Speaking separately in his office minister of health bungoma county Antony Walela has applauded [ us aid ] for their support to the very crucial and delicate ministry within the county appealing to other local and foreign donors to follow the suit
In recent days the minister has been accused of misappropriate of funds with a section of the civil activists ,members of the county assembly and residents at large tabling several motions that requested Walela to resign. The funding on the health sector just comes amid of other foreign funding from Finland of 2.5 billion Kenyan money funds intended to upgrade and uplift the face of Bungoma town.
