Traders at Cheptulu market in the Hamisi Constituency of Vihiga County are complaining about the poor state of the market, saying that it threatens the closure of the market. They say they are facing difficulties in conducting their business as the market lacks even basic amenities like toilets.

Elijah Seveni, a livestock trader in the market, says they face numerous challenges due to the lack of toilets and other essential services.

Meanwhile, Aggrey Ingasa has stated that livestock diseases pose a challenge as they lead to the frequent closure of the market. He urges the county government to address this issue adequately.

They have also requested the government to ensure they receive receipts when buying and selling livestock to avoid cases of theft.
