Today marks the second day of the 21st AMECEA Plenary Assembly taking place at the Catholic University of Eastern Africa (CUEA) in Nairobi, Kenya.
More than 130 bishops from AMECEA member countries are participating in this important gathering to reflect on the life and mission of the Church in the Eastern Africa region.
The official opening of the Assembly is expected to be graced by the President of the Republic of Kenya, H.E. Dr. William Samoei Ruto, alongside senior government officials and the Governor of Nairobi County, Johnson Sakaja.
All bishops of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) are taking an active part in the Assembly, contributing to discussions and reflections on strengthening the Church’s mission, promoting unity, and responding to the pastoral and social challenges facing the Church and society across the AMECEA region.
The 21st AMECEA Plenary Assembly brings together Church leaders from across Eastern Africa to pray, reflect, share experiences, and develop pastoral strategies that will strengthen evangelization, communion, and service to the People of God throughout the region.
