Kakamega County Referral Hospital,in collaboration with AIC Cure Kenya-Kijabe and Bethany Kids, conducted a special medical clinic to examine and treat bone and nervous system disorders among children aged 18 years and below

Speaking at the clinic,Ms.Christine Ekesa,who oversees orthopedic services at Kakamega County Referral Hospital,explained the that the partnership with AIC Cure Kenya Kenya-Kijabe aims to ensure that children with orthopedic conditions receive specialised medical care closer to home

Ms.Ekesa emphasized importance of treating children while they are still growing,noting that their bones have a greater ability to heal and fuse properly,increasing the chances of successful treatment and recovery

Ms.Ekesa highlighted some of the challenges faced during outreach clinic,as the shortage of food for patients and caregivers during the treatment sessions

She appealed to government leaders and other well-wishers to support the programme to ensure the clinics continue serving more children in need
