Ten years of service can both be long and short.

Long, basing on what has been achieved. Short, because of what is expected to be achieved.

Priesthood is and can never be personal, rather for all people.” This was a message of encouragement today by Rt. Rev. Joseph Obanyi Sagwe, Bishop Diocese of Kakamega, during 10 years of service celebration Mass of our priests; Fr. Franklyne Sanya, Fr. Joseph Likule, Fr. Linus Waswere and Fr. Felix Chisaka of the Diocese of Kakamega and Fr. Edward Khayemba of the Holy Ghost Fathers.

Bishop Obanyi, insisted that priests should be a symbol of HOPE for those who have no hope, and should also be a symbol of Good News for the people.

He appreciated for their perseverance and patience more so during the outbreak of Covid 19 when many priests seemed to have no work at all when Churches were closed down.

The Bishop urged faithful not to cease from praying for priests, and that LOVE should be the foundation in the life of Christians and priests.

The Mass was celebrated at the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Mukumu Parish.

Others present were priests led by Fr. Stanslaus Wabuti, Dean – Mukumu Deanery, religious brothers and sisters, leaders in all protocols observed, friends and relatives.

 Congratulations our dear Priests.
