The development of the road network in various parts of the county will go on despite the lack of funds that is being witnessed. The county government of Kakamega had gazetted a number of roads in this final financial year of the current regime as priority development goals.

According to Butsotso East member of county assembly, Mr. Matthews Nyangweso, the county government will ensure that all the roads that have been identified will be developed to enable residents to transverse in the county with ease. While addressing mourners during the final sent off of Mr. Isaac Muchanji in Shitoto Village, Mr. Nyangweso added that his ward will have a total of 25km developed.

On bursaries, Mr. Nyangweso insisted that before schools reopen for the 2021 academic year that is set for the coming week, the disbursement will have been done for all the schools in the ward. He added that residents and other members of good will from Shitoto village were invited to provide input towards the establishment of a primary school so as to ensure that children who learn at the ECDE in the area proceed to the next step.
