A gang of robbers broke into St. John the Baptist Likuyani Boys High School in likuyani sub county, Kakamega County and made away with property worth thousands of shillings.

Confirming the incident acting Likuyani location Chief Peter Lugano said the heavily armed gang invaded the school on Tuesday and seriously injured Mr. Nahashon Wakobwa using crude weapons before breaking into the teacher’s quarters.

He said the unknown number of gangsters cut the guard thrice on the head leaving him unconscious before they proceeded to the staff quarters where they broke into three houses and stole electronics including three televisions all valued at over kshs 150,000.

Lugano said nobody knew when the attack occurred and that the guard was discovered by his colleague who had arrived at the school early in the morning to relieve him from duty and noticed something a miss.

The sentinel was rescued and rushed to Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital In Eldoret where he is admitted in critical condition

Lugano said security officers in the area have launched an investigation into the incident with an aim of arresting the suspect.

Reached for comment, the school principal Mr. Mwanyumba Tweni declined to speak to the Media and said the matter was under investigation and he could not comment on it.
