Wazito fc has confirmed the departure of Joe Waithira from the club. Waithira joined Wazito in 2016 and was key in their successful 2017   National Super League campaign that earned them their maiden appearance in the Kenyan top tier. Joe left them for a while before returning once again to play a pivotal role in their quest to return to FKF-PL after a whole season in the cold.

Wazito CEO Dennis Gicheru has all good things to say about Waithira who has left the club by mutual consent hailing him as a player who never disappointed all the years he donned the clubs Jersey on the pitch and wishes him well.

Even as Wazito bids Waithira goodbye they loaned out two midfielders, Edwin Omondi and Castro Ogendo and goalkeeper Steve Odhiambo for the remainder of the season.  Omondi and Odhiambo will pay for their mother team Western Stima, while Castro Ogendo will play for National Super League side Kisumu All Stars.
