In what seems to be a rare approach to the way individuals interact, a group of pastors ministering in different denominations decided to cut their denominational barriers in an aim creating unity in the course of spreading the gospel.

The group, Lubao Pastors Association, comprises of pastors from Pentecostal Evangelistic Fellowship of Africa (PEFA), Pentecostal Assemblies of God (PAG), Church of God, Christian Gospel Ministry, African Divine Church (ADC), Ufunuo Pentecostal Church among others. Build on the strong religious backgrounds they originate from, the pastors have vowed to engage each other in constructive engagements that will not only benefit them but also the societies from which they originate.

Since its formation, the group prides itself on a number of achievements with unity being a key component of their interactions. They have also been able to build houses for their fellow pastors, paid school fees for children of the members, table banking programs that enable the members to save cash as well as access easy to manage loans among other group empowerment programmes.

The pastors also get scheduled airtime from 102.2 Lubao Fm to minister to their congregation a move that they say has enabled them to touch lives in the surrounding community in a special way. Lubao FM scheduled religious programmes from different churches on Sundays in the month of July when covid-19 restrictions barred religious activities in the western part of the country. For the members of Lubao Pastors Association, the chance to have their summons aired live during this period enabled their members to be at par with the religious calendar of their different denominations.

The group has a number of projections before the end their current financial year including; purchasing cows for each members, purchase of public address systems for hire, setting up an outside catering unit together with meeting their members’ welfare needs. They believe that with commitment and belief in God plus the support from Lubao FM their plans will be achieved.
