A somber mood engulfed Mukhuyu village in Lubao sub-location after fire razed a house belonging to Mama Mary Musungu. The Saturday afternoon on 20th November, 2021 incident left residents helpless and tongue wagging as their efforts seemed unfruitful.
According to Mama Mary, she received news of her flaming house while she was attending a funeral in the neighbourhood. When she arrived home she was helpless and efforts by neighbors to salvage her properties were futile though they managed to take out some basic items.
Confirming the incident, Lubao sub-location assistant chief, Sulvei Ashiono said that they were yet to ascertain the cause of the fire.
While residents were sympathetic of the incident, calls were on well wishers and members of goodwill to come in handy and salvage the affected family. On her part, Mama Mary Musungu sought to alert law enforcers at Lubao Administration Base to report the matter.
